If it is a 3/4 insole you would put it on top of the keen insole. **Q: I'm tring to find a shoe closest to Keen Briggs model. This one?** A: Hello, I only wear Keen shoes and have 4 pairs of the Presidio and 6 pairs of the Briggs and these two shoes are nothing alike. I just recently purchased three pairs of the Keen Kaci Boot that they have also been considering discontinuing. The Kaci boot has the same bottom on it as the Briggs and I am enjoying them all greatly. I wear a 9 in all three models. I do not like the Presidio for all day use and instead it is my go to bike shoe and I put alot of miles on my bikes. The Kaci Boot is my best walking shoe....and I like the Briggs for when I want to look nice and for it's great stability in keeping me on my feet for as many hours as I need to be. I also have numerous Keen hiking boots and their yogui sandals......a big Keen fan. By the way......I LOVE the purple Presidio....as it fits me like the older colors I have......nice and roomy.....and I have a purple bike outfit to go with them. **Q: How do i indicate size .11 for the shoes i want to by keen. there is no prompt to put size in purchase** A: I don’t remember a lot, except that I was asked for my size at time of purchase I know and I gave them my size at that time. I have ingrown toenail problems and the toe box is wide enough so that I don't have any pressure on my toes any more. I can stand eight hours a day with no problems, the shoes are great and supportive. I have been wearing the shoes daily since November last year, so it's about three months. They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in years. I LOVE THESE SHOES. Still I have to take off a star, because of the following problem: Sometimes the shoes turn my toes black. This has happened about a dozen times. I do not generally have sweaty feet. But now and then, my feet get a little warm, since I'm standing all day at work. I came home one day, took off my socks and shoes, and the tip of my right sock was black, and to my dismay my actual right big toe and second toe were black too. Something (dye, I suppose), is coming out of the shoe leather and into the sock, then through the sock to my toes. When this happens I have to scrub the black off with soap and water. It doesn't come off easily, either. There is always some left, that takes some time to wear away. This dye can't be good for the skin, should not be happening, and I'm not sure what I can do to fix this. I don't want to mess around with applying fixatives or sealants to the inside of my shoes. I hope Keen will offer some solution.
