I bought it for an Oktoberfest party and will wear it to future costume parties as well.The size is tricky. I usually wear a small (8-10), but am not small-busted, so after reading other reviews, I ordered 2 sizes up (M 44). Way too big! The M 42 just arrived (1 day after ordering) and it is perfect.It is pricey, but of very fine quality. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautifully made dirndl in purple *by C***. on May 3, 2019* I have worn this dirndl twice for two performances with a Houston German singing club. I have received many compliments. The one that I received is made with quality fabric, and has excellent details. I bought two because I wasn't sure of the size. I ordered a 14 and a 16 in American sizes. The 14 was probably the correct size, but I felt it was too snug for my personal liking so I returned it with no issues. I kept the size 16, which may be too big because the blouse kind of moves around. I have not sent it to be cleaned yet but the instructions say it doesn't have to be dry cleaned but It can. I've worn it in 80 weather and it didn't seem to be too hot. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty dress, shirt is junk *by J***3 on September 21, 2018* Heavy and high quality dress (though the zipper pull is cheesy rubber and I immediately removed it) - I am 5’4, 135lb, 36D and normally an 8 in everything but had to get a 10. The laces allow me to tighten (laces are cheap too) so if you’re worried a size up might be slightly too large you’ll probably be fine.The white shirt is absolute junk I don’t know why they include this with the nice dress. It was actually aggravating it see it- super scratchy cheap white tissue fabric no fabric softener could save. The cut is not great either and it kind of sticks up all over the place (too much stiff fabric) under the dress.
