Various reviews I've read said it doesn't.** A: No it does not. **Q: Does it have free sync ?** A: AMD Freesync and with Nvidia drivers, G-Sync compatible. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don’t forget to update the firmware *by M***K on 16 August 2019* Been using this for a couple of months now on a dual-boot Mac and Windows machine. 144 Hz isn’t quite the life-changing experience I’d hoped it would be, but it’s noticeable when dragging a window from this monitor to my old 60 Hz secondary display.This monitor is extremely bright and vivid - way brighter than my four-year-old Dell, so colour matching between the two isn’t really possible.I’m using an Nvidia GPU, which initially caused many glitches with Freesync/G-sync, even though it’s supposed to be compatible. The problem turned out to be outdated firmware. I’ve never had to update a monitor before, but while this one was shipped to me with version 1 firmware, it should actually be on version 6 or above for proper Nvidia compatibility. The monitor software won’t tell you this, you have to search on Gigabyte’s website for drivers.The joystick control can be set to various different quick-access functions, but only a selection from a small list. So to get to useful things like the frame rate counter, you have to click through the main menu, which is a bit fiddly. Perhaps they’ll update it in one of their many firmware revisions.Still, it’s a good monitor, very crisp picture with an extremely solid and heavy stand. I wish I had two of them, really, as it makes my other one - which I used to think was pretty great - look dull by comparison.Edit: Ars Technica recently rated this the best all-round gaming monitor currently on the market, and said it's "a great jack-of-all-trades". So there you go. I'm certainly happy with it.I suspect previous complaints about dropping connections or having to reset the monitor would have been solved by updating the firmware. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good gaming monitor *by J***Y on 1 July 2019* Very good gaming monitor ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you Gigabyte, a perfect panel! *by T***R on 18 July 2019* I gave up trying to find a good IPS 144hz 27" panel a few years ago because every one I tried had terrible backlight bleed.After a fly decided to die inside my current TN panel, work bought me a new monitor, I decided to try the Aoras because I heard it uses a new type of panel with better quality control.I have had a close inspection of the new monitor with both black and white screens and I cannot detect any backlight bleed whatsover! It is actual even more consistent than my old TN panel, which was pretty good in this regard. No obvious stuck pixels either that I can see, looks like a perfect panel. Very pleased indeed!The picture quality is absolutely superb as well, and the viewing angles are amazing.
