The shaft is significantly shorter than the Hunter Tall ... but Huntress boot still fits the same. Goes up to under my knee. Great fit for petite legs. Not tight around my calves either. The original talls hit right in the middle of my knee. This boot is the perfect height for me and still gives that long lean look I wanted. The additional calf circumference allowed for my athletic calves. I can wear these boots comfortably with leggings or jeans. I wear a 5.5 and ordered the 5 and they are a great fit. I was disappointed these boots didn’t come in the gloss finish, but once they arrived, I truly love the look of these boots. They have more of a satin finish than a matte. I am on the petite side, with muscular calves, and these fit perfect! Normal Hunter boots hit right at my kneecap, and create a suction around my legs making them incredibly difficult to get off. These, not a problem! And they sit about 2" below my knee. Dark olive is a gorgeous color, which I have paired up with the greige fleece liners. I read reviews that said they wouldn't work in Huntress boots, but they work just fine if you ask me. A+ purchase.
