I washed it before I used it and one of the corner ties basically unraveled and turned in to what can only be described to be 100's of individual fibers about 3-4 inches long. I ended up twisting them together like a rope so I could secure the duvet to it. I am sure it will become worse with time, so - not happy with that. It has 4 ties, which allow the sides of the duvet to move quite a bit, also a pain to deal with.It is very soft and feels nice.
