Looked in a few different shops that I heard had some rulers but found almost nothing in any of them that wasn’t plastic and thankfully amazon had a choice of metal rulers. First off I must say that this is a perfect product, It is metal so it's hard to damage it. The scales on each edge are useful both for small increments and large. Many different scales, and if you have a favorite scale, the color-coded stripe down the middle help you remember what side you prefer to use. It is really helpful, and I have had many scales over the years. I am very happy with this one. Not to mention it came with a ruler bag and a pen.
