It makes the entire apparatus top-heavy and causes arm pain after only a few minutes of play (my wife is a bowler and has fairly good forearm strength already, so it's not just a matter of needing to work out the muscles). My guess for this decision would be repeated failure by the manufacturer to deliver the product as agreed.To make up for the horrid inconvenience they offered it for the same price as the other ones would have been regularly. Yes it is more than the $19.99 that I originally reserved 1 for, but I'm now getting 2 of them, dropping the price to about $15 each, and they look cooler.
