Its a fraction of the price per gram than other options, but has quite good conductivity, much better than the typical cheap white goop. I used it for a thermal interface between large LED panels and their heatsinks, the factory barely put any compound on which was causing the LED boards to get to over 100c. After thermal compound the entire board and heatsink was sitting at about 43c once the temperature stabilised after an hour or so.
