So no it's not loud at all. **Q: Where can you find fruit roll sheets that fit the trays?** A: Kitchen parchment paper works great. Just cut it to the size of the tray (with some overlap on the sides so the fruit blend doesn't leak out and drip) and you're good to go. Don't even bother with some specialty product. It's neither necessary nor better. **Q: If you take all the trays out is it a flat surface you could place jars on to make yogurt?** A: I found an inexpensive way to make yoghurt. Hydrofarm MT10006 9-by-19-1/2-Inch Seedling Heat Mat is rated at 17 watts. I place the milk and bacteria mix in wide mouthed plastic containers covered with a coffee filter wrapped with a rubber band to secure. it takes a while, maybe 12 hours, but it works. It helps if you can heat the milk to 185 deg F and cool before you place the bacteria in it so you get a denser yoghurt. My yoghurt is more like cream cheese. **Q: Does the food stick to it? Easy to hand wash?** A: Haven't had any problems with food sticking. I've done carrots, mushrooms, peppers (sweet & hot), sweet potatoes, venison jerky, & apples. Grid sheets are easy to hand clean & have put them in dishwasher (no hot, sanitizing washes or rinses) on either top or bottom rack.
