It's nice to have such a lightweight thin tablet but I always have the feeling that it wouldn't take much and could slip out of my hands, this definitely makes for a thicker heavier profile and it's not slick. I've had my toshi protected by this case and in my ruck from the Congo, the Amazon and to North Iraq and many more places in between. Even though it is not 100% water proof, (unless kept in a plastic zip lock bag, especially in the rain forrest), I've never had the slightest problem. the material is very slip resistant so it doesn't just slide off table tops and also if dropped it almost has a soft bounce effect, keeping a 360' protection. all ports and speakers are cleared so no problem there and also the power and volume buttons are covered, keeping them protected as well. I also ordered this with Bobj's "Tablet (5-Pack) Cable Adapter Set" and I am glad I did.
