Review: A keeper - Normally probiotics do not agree with me but I read that some strains can help with anxiety, depression and insomnia so when I found the description of this one it was a definite try. Having gone through a very stressful period I developed horrible insomnia, sleeping only 2-3 hours a night sometimes and was going crazy - must have bought 6 or 7 different "herbs" that were supposed to help but nada. After only about 3 days I found myself sleeping at least 7 and 8 hours. It was amazing. Started taking 2 per day one in am and one in pm but then was having to take a nap at 10 am so stopped the am pill and only took one at night before bed with a few bites of food. I did contact the company however to ask about some startup issues - I was feeling a bit irritable but did not want to stop the supplement. They have amazing customer service and Sylvia is sending me another of their formula (the Bifidus with GOS) to see if I can fine tune the mix. In any case I'll see which works better but there is no way I'm not going to take one or the other. I am certainly calmer and also happy to find a probiotic I can take given the past stress and some antibiotic courses over the last few years. As I said it's only been 3 weeks and I believe it takes longer than that for the body to totally adjust to the new bacteria so I am looking forward to the healthy benefits.
Review: Excellent! Works on gut and brain! Histamine FREE! - This is the ONLY histamine-free probiotic that works for me (only 1 other I found had 2 xtra ingred. that gave me issues). Nice that it is taken with/wo food! Very surprised at how effective it is without the typical intestinal die-off when killing bad bacteria. Realized my candida was out of control and causing me to binge eat carbs late at night-- within 3-4 days of taking this, ZERO carb cravings! However, don't make the mistake of only taking 1 or 2/day, as it requires 3-4/2x day! ALL probiotics need to be taken enough to reestablish good gut health (told to me by a reputable nutritionist). Once I started taking enough, my gut really changed! I do 1-2 caps 2x/day with food on a maintenance schedule. Or, if I'm having a gut issue, I take 1-2 between food for extra impact. At this point, there might be some die off. Pleasantly surprised at the decrease in head chatter and reduced anxiety. BONUS that It's histamine free, which is why I really bought it! All in all a quality product at a decent price. THIS histamine-free probiotic has worked wonders with helping to KEEP ME SANE DURING THE PANDEMIC!!! Seriously! I have maintained a pretty even keel in mood and anxiety levels living alone w/limited outside contact. THIS MOOD PROBIOTIC IS THAT GOOD! I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep histamines out of your probiotic if trying to heal your gut! It's an oxymoron trying to heal the gut with histamines in gut products.

**Q: How does this compare with bifidus mood boost? is one more targeted for certain symptoms (along with both being sensitive)?**

There are two main differences:

The biggest one to point out is that this formula does not contain any prebiotic. It's *JUST* probiotic. 

The second difference is the combination of strains and species. They are different.

We've found what works for one person will not work for the next, so we wanted to have more than one sensitive formula available.

**Q: How do the bacteria fair in a 120 degree mailbox in summer?**

Our probiotics are shelf-stable and should be able to survive a wide variety of temperatures. Word from our lab-team was that around 120 degrees was the upper-limit.

**Q: Which strains help with eradicating sibo in this?**
A: The reason this probiotic may be better for SIBO (vs. our other probiotics as well as vs. other brands' probiotics) is that there are NO prebiotics and no added ingredients in this products. Just probiotic bacteria and the veggie cellulose capsule that holds it all. Many of the 6 species we used are great for eradicating SIBO. Our best tip is to go slow with dosages and work your way up. You might start with 1/8 of a capsule or less! You can do this by opening the capsule and pouring some of the contents into an applesauce, yogurt, or drink.

**Q: What technology/method is used to ensure the capsules are acid-resistant to withstand stomach acids and be delivered safely into the gut?**
A: If taken on an empty stomach with plenty of water the capsules will dissolve and PH is unlikely to be below 6.0 when the bacteria pass into the small intestine.  Stomach acid only increases when food is present and especially meat.  If your stomach consistently made acid all night while we sleep with nothing to digest, and no hormonal triggers for bile to be released to neutralise the acid, everyone would wake up every morning with very unpleasant bowel movements and have damaged small intestines from severe acid exposure daily.  Stomach acid will not reach a lethal ph to kill bacteria with plenty of water to dilute and wash it past the sphincter connecting the stomach to the small intestines.  Pre-biotic food should be taken well before or well after the probiotic wash down to reduce gastric juice secretion.  When you eat meat, stomach acid should reach a ph of about 1.5-2.0.  Do not take any probiotic at this time as it is surely doomed :)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good clean out

I have been taking one capsule daily and haven’t noticed any change in bathroom habits or my mood, but this stuff cleans out my kids (6&11). The eleven year old takes one capsule daily and says she’s going very easily now, almost too easily. I asked if she had any cramps and she said no. The six year old was a little backed up, so I sprinkled 1/3 capsule in his cereal and later that day, he urgently had to go and unloaded. He also said no pain. I wish it did the same for me, maybe I need more, but I can definitely tell it’s got some viable bacteria in there.
