Paired with an older DeWalt 18v, I can get 18-20 holes in 24" of ice no problem on about half a 5a lithium battery. Had same drill on a mora brand auger, which worked well, but it's not even a close comparison, this one wins by a landslide. Comparable to a Strikemaster Lazer, probably could use the same blades, but this auger is much cheaper and the blades cost less. The offset handle for hand augering is much better once you get used to it. You use both arms, compared to the other brands where you use one arm to spin and the other as a pivot.
