Have been waiting for ages (loved the words by the author; we always forget they have lives outside of writing/drawing for us. Hopefully she at least knows she's got a loyal fan base!!). At first I panicked that I'd missed a book, given this one starts eight months after the previous (which was a cliff-hanger ending) but fortunately I hadn't. This is the next book and it's a great continuation on... with Akihito still in total character - patient, understanding and totally predictable as he rushes off to be with Asami. I love his kind and pure heart. Must admit to some puzzlement about what the heck is going on with trade routes, cartels and all that stuff and I find myself confusing Sudo and Mikhail a lot (both cuties). And with Fei Long showing up again (loving how he helps Akihito but I reckons he's totally got ulterior motives) I feel like we're really close to the end of this series and we're going to be blown apart with secrets being revealed. This is one of those romances that has so much more going on, so that those in love have to fight. I enjoy that sort of story, it makes the love story even stronger. Just please have Asami say 'I love you' to Akihito; he needs to hear it said! Great drawing, as expected, and love the bonus stories at the end.
