    Modest and cute

Runs a tad long. Or at least it seemed like it was a but too long for us. Order a size down, perhaps.This would be a good costume for occasional use, but the fins wore down quickly with my daughter stepping on them.Overall, we liked the look and added a floral lei to complete the ensemble. The shells can come off of the headband.The sleeves on this costume were more comfortable for a chilly Halloween than a sleeveless option!

    Perfect fit when you use the size chart

I read the previous reviews and used the size chart and my daughter's measurements to determine what size to get.  I got her the small even though she wears an 8 and it is a perfect, comfortable fit.  As others have said it is long, but I expected that and plan to shorten it at the waist to keep the tail fin unaltered.  The quality is surprisingly good, especially given the price.  It is much nicer than other costumes we have purchased.  It will definitely last beyond Halloween.

    Fits small/tight

Costume is beautiful, but runs on the small (tight) side. My daughter wears a 7 so I bought the Small (6-8), wish we would have got the Medium (8-10). Sequins fall off easily and the headband is cheaply made. She's happy with it and that's what matters.
