It is actually a paper thin sheet of magnetic white surface glued to a piece of very, very thin cardboard. When you remove the corner covers to place the screws, you can see exactly what I am talking about! When viewed from the back, you can see the cardboard plainly.I have used several brands of whiteboards throughout my life, and I use them at work religiously. This one, in comparison to all that I have ever used, is really low quality. I took a chance when I purchased this board - but I was willing to try other brands to see what kind of quality I could get for this price range. Won't make that mistake again!!The box it came in was in perfect condition - not even a scrape! The board was very well packed - like they say in their description, it is packed to withstand the harshness of delivery drivers and warehouse personnel. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, the whiteboard had a small dent in it, and a crease from top to bottom. This came from the factory like this! Once I saw what this is made of, I understood why - nothing more than a paper thin sheet glued to a piece of thin cardboard. Just handling the thing can crease, or dent it! When I mounted it, I had to add two screws along the aluminum edging (top and bottom) to keep the thing flat to the wall.All in all, it will do for what I purchased it for - writing information down that I can glance up and see. The info I wrote down will be there for a long time, so the board will not see much use. I don't think it would last long if it were used as much as I use my other ones, or the ones I have at work.I would NOT recommend this to anyone, and I will definitely not be purchasing again! The Amazon Basic whiteboard (same size as this one - 24" x 36") is a MUCH better quality board, and cheaper too! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great dry erase board, easy to install. *by S***O on Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2019* Just installed my new dry erase board and I'm loving it. Installation note: product installation instructions call for you to use a 3/16 drill bit and drill into the wall then hammer the plastic mounting things into the spot. I found this unnecessary and just screwed the screws directly in to the wall. I suppose you could use some double sided adhesive tape along with it if you're un-sure that this method will be sturdy enough but it worked just fine for me. I colored over the info I already wrote on my board for privacy reasons. All and all a great buy though.
