Diese, zugegeben leider hochpreisigen Sonnenbrillen sind absolut weltklasse was die Sicht und das Licht angeht und jeden Cent wert. Ich kenne nichts Vergleichbares. Farben werden sensationell wiedergegeben. Wer mit diesen Brillen z.B. in der Karibik oder im Mittelmeerraum unterwegs ist, wird türkisfarbenes Wasser zu Gesicht bekommen, wie man es ohne entsprechende Polarisation der Gläser niemals erleben könnte. Zudem lege ich besonderen Wert auf kratzerunempfindlichkeit - eine besondere Stärke der gehärteten Gläser. Ich verwende die Sonnenbrillen im Auto z.B. täglich - ohne jegliche Ermüdungserscheiung des Materials. Daneben sind Maui Jim Sonnenbrillen stylisch und sehen auch entsprechend besonders wertvoll aus. Und zuletzt: Diese Brillen decken vor allem das Auge rundum, das heist auch seitlich sehr gut ab was bei gleißendem Licht das Auge schützt.

**Q: can prescription sun glasses br ordered?**
A: Aloha! The Makaha style is available in prescription. However, we cannot use the non-prescription frame in this process as there is a frame change to compensate for the prescription lenses. For this style, Maui Jim would have to supply a complete frame and lens set to make the prescription.

**Q: what are the chances of getting fake glasses? are these genuine?**
A: Yes, I bought a pair, they are genuine.  But apparently the warranty does not come with them, like in the stores.  I had a complaint, and it fell on deaf ears.  The lens' are secured at the top by screws.  The area around the screws began to show stress cracks.  Then the stress cracks became holes.  The lens began to pop out.  The retail stores said they have a strong warranty, so I tried going through Amazon to cash in on that warranty.  Nothing!!!

**Q: What is covered in Mawi Jim sunglass insurance ?**

**Q: I have a pretty big melon and sometimes have trouble getting sunglasses will these fit**
A: as you see, this frame is different system holding around head not ear, and very flexible to fit big head. But we strongly suggest try at sunglases hut or nordstrom before purchase. also, there are similar style bigger than this which "Banyans--70mm", Hookipa and mahaka--64mm

Just bought these and out of the box they are wonderful sunglasses. Very lightweight and comfortable. These polarized lenses are spectacular, they really bring out vivid color and are crystal clear. I have another pair of polarized lenses (Smith) that are inferior, though admittedly I don't have any other experience. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. However, I can't speak to durability as I haven't had them long enough. I can see that they could be fragile given they're frameless and the outer lense is reflective. I will be very careful with these....but at least for now I love them!
