The guitar was well made, set up was very easy, and the guitar sounded and played great. The strings are not great but did sound good. After its first tuning and shipping it to her, it only needed a small adjustment to be back in tune. She opened it on Christmas day and loves it. The backpack style gig bag was a big hit as well. At 7 years old, she has a lot of lessons ahead of her but the quality of the guitar should keep her on track. The guitar we received has red accents unlike the purple in this photo. There are some rough spots in the black paint in the fret on the neck, and the knobs on the tuning pegs are plastic. I bought it on recommendation of a friend whose daughters love theirs, and I am hoping that as we use it, we like it. It's just too early to tell. My 7 year old daughter LOVES the bubble gum pink color, the size is perfect. It is not standard as described in the Amazon ad, more like the 3/4 Yamaha and Gianninni that we tried in the stores for $30-$60 more with a nicer case.
