When camping, I am connected to shore power half the time and just my battery when roughing it. I put a led bulb in one socket of the lamp and an incandescent bulb in the other. On 120 volts I flip on the incandescent bulb as I prefer the light emitted by this bulb. When running off the battery, I flip on the led bulb, as the led bulb vastly extends battery life. Great value, too!
