Review: works as an hard case foam replacment - I replaced the original pick-and-pluck foam with this and honestly it turned out better than expected. Since everything was cut by hand, it’s not perfectly precise—but that actually worked in my favor. The fit is tight, so there’s zero wiggle room and everything stays locked in place. The density feels just right. It’s not too soft where items sink or move around, but not too firm either. It has a bit of “spring” to it, so it grips gear well and should absorb impacts better than cheaper foam. Another big plus is the price. It’s way cheaper than buying pre-cut or pick-and-pluck foam, and you can customize it exactly for your setup. It cuts pretty easily with a long, sharp knife. I did notice that using a shorter blade can leave rough edges, so taking your time and using the right tool makes a big difference. Overall, it worked perfectly for my use case and ended up being a better solution than the original foam.
