Had to solder a wire connector to the positive wire lead but that too was easy enough to accomplish as long as you have the knowledge to perform this. Once mounted I tested the light and power movement which was just fine. My only complaint is that there is a built in level on top but the instruction manual doesn't state how to use or adjust it. I searched the internet and found that once you level your travel trailer by using a manual level then you adjust the built-in jack level to align the bubble by turning the 3 screws. It has more than enough power to raise the front of the trailer up even when still hooked to my truck (I have to do this to hook up the torsion/sway bars). We just used it on an extended trip and it worked flawlessly. I did buy a separate cover to keep it protected from the sun.
