## Overview

The Framed Sparkling Cherub Butterfly Riker Mount is a beautifully preserved real butterfly, expertly framed in a 5" x 4" display. With a convenient hanger on the back and clearance from U.S. Fish & Wildlife, this piece combines artistry and ethical sourcing, making it a perfect addition to any home or office decor.

## Description

Scientific Name: Doxocopu cherubina. Wingspan: 2 ½ inches. This butterfly has iridescent blue coloring that pops in and out when you tilt it forward. Single framed real butterfly in a Riker Mount. Cotton filled hard cardboard frames with a glass top. The butterflies are not glued, they are gently pressed against the glass by the cotton. Riker mounts are not sealed and can be easily opened to extract or reposition the butterflies simply by removing 2-4 pins that are on the sides of the frame. Although the riker mounts aren't sealed, the butterflies will still last for many, many years as long as you keep them out of direct sunlight. All riker mounts have a sawtooth hanger on the back. This butterfly is beautiful but doe not have antennae which is shown in the picture used to sell it.The riker mount is well sealed and will last a long time. I like the suggestion- in the event that the specimen in invaded by insects. (putting it in the freezer for a few days and repeating this process as needed).
