Which is it? And what is the difference?** A: I believe it's because of all of the herbs they use in the ingredients, they consider it to be herbal medicine for your teeth. It's definitely toothpaste, and I personally highly recommend it. Since discovering this it's the only toothpaste I use. It's fantastic. **Q: Does this help receding gums?** A: HI! I have been using this product for 2 years now and would never use any other. I don't have receding gums so I can't answer your question - I can only suggest that you try it.
