Do you thing it will block conversations?** A: I don't think it will completely block conversations, only muffle. Bear in mind too that unless you have a low ceiling there'll be a gap at the top for sound to escape. As you can see in the pictures, my home office is guarded by glass-paneled french doors; the wood flooring runs throughout the house. Even with the doors closed, I can hear pretty much *everything* in the house - not ideal for a work environment.After hunting around online for some way to block the noise, I decided to try this divider despite the steep price. Not that I had much choice - there didn't appear to be many options in the "acoustic wall" domain. Anyway, I set the divider up to block my office door and was immediately disappointed by how much noise I could still hear. One of the other reviewers on here wrote, "don't expect miracles", and that is certainly true: no miracles will be had here, neither major nor minor.All that said, the product does provide some amount of noise relief. With the sound screen up and a high quality headset, folks on videocon say they can no longer hear barking dogs and crying babies in the background. But the sounds still feel quite loud to me; when working solo, the noise can break my concentration unless I'm listening to music on my headphones.
