My method of applying the Rosemary Mint Edge Gel: after shampooing and while hair is still damp, take a very small amount of the gel spread on fingertips and tap or stroke it over combed hair. Comb again to style. When hair is dry, comb out. Result: a natural soft style without the glue-like residue or brittleness of commercial gels. Use of the Mielle Rosemary Mint range leaves the scalp clean and refreshed. The shampoo, masque, rosemary hair oil are all reasonably priced per quantity and quality. I ordered the Rosemary "Edge Gel" which only comes in a 2oz size and costs $6.99. It arrived without tamper proof protection and appeared to be around 5/8ths full which caused me to wonder whether someone else had sampled it along the way. An 8oz tube of conventional hair gel costs around the same. The product works fine - but miserly in quantity and therefore too expensive. I would suggest that Mielle Organics at least double the quantity for that price. I am also puzzled why they market their product as "By women for women". That cuts out a good portion of the population. There is nothing overtly feminine about the herb Rosemary - which has been in popular use as a medicine, topical application, cleanser and culinary herb for centuries.
