    Log Cabin Quilts Made Easy

This book explains clearly, and with lots of pictures, how to make a log cabin quilt of any size.  As a relatively inexperienced quilter I find the explanations straightforward and easy to follow.  There are plenty of accompanying illustrations so that there is little doubt left about how the project will work at each stage.  Different sizes from baby to king are shown and given separate instructions which is so much more helpful than a brief comment that many instructions use.  I love log cabin quilts and have several books on them but this is by far the best.

My favorite design for a quilt is a Log Cabin.  An earlier addition of Quilt In A Day was what I used to make my very first quilt.  I now recommend it to all new beginners.  I purchased this edition because of the new vibrant colors to give me new ideas to begin another one myself.The picture attached is actually the second log cabin I made for my grandson in 2014.

The directions are good.  What disappointed me was the patterns were for all the same size quilt and I was looking for variations as some odd numbered square have two center blocks the same size but not the same color.
