You will definitely need to wear something underneath it if you are planning on wearing this little skirt out!!! According to the sizing guide a small fits a 26-27 inch waist...and it does, however; it is so micro short, it came just to my 'china' & didn't cover my behind. I am not a big girl, 5'6" 120 lbs. I do not have a long torso nor do I have a bubble butt! I would suggest buying up a size, & pulling it down on your hips to gain some length, which is what I'm planning to do. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for petite girls- Skirt adequately matches description *by S***. on May 2, 2014* I have this same skirt in red thus had prior knowledge of the skirt's length/style and how the size I ordered would fit me. I am a very petite/small boned person (5'6.5 and a little over 100lbs) so with the appropriate shoes and shirt am able to wear this skirt out in public without overexposure. I DO NOT THINK THIS WOULD APPLY TO MOST OTHERS who may order this skirt as it is quite short. The quality is quite good for an item that probably is primarily used as an in-the-bedroom ensemble. Unlike other similar skirts I appreciate the zipper this has versus a Velcro closure. I would probably prefer if the skirt were an inch or two longer, just because I think I would have more options of tops/shoes to pair with it. I still like the skirt regardless (which is why I have 2 now) and when I do wear out in public frequently get compliments (the majority from men...) so I would recommend this skirt to others. Again, I don't think buyers should expect to be able to wear this out in public unless they are very petite. ### ⭐⭐ Ehh..it's alright I guess *by M***E on September 27, 2010* Considering the slightly more durable quality of the skirt and the price it's not that bad. My big complaint is with the sizing chart. Seriously, do some clothing manufacturers really not know how long a standard inch actually is?? I've had trouble ordering clothes online before because of sizing issues, so I took precaution and measured twice, read where the skirt was supposed to sit on my body, and ordered the proper size accordingly. I even ordered a size up that should have given me 2-4 inches extra just in case. When the skirt came in, I tried it on and it was several inches too small. I honestly thought they had sent me the wrong size, but I checked the tag and sure enough it was the exact size I had ordered. Luckily for Amazon (and the manufacturer, since its not really Amazon's fault) I needed the skirt for the coming weekend so I wouldn't have had time to send it back and try to get another one hoping it would fit right.
