Comfortable, durable, great traction, snug fit
Now, after wearing these boots for nearly 3 years, I'm at ease with making a review. I just noticed some separation and cracking in the rubber. I'll continue to wear them for their comfort. I've had Cabela, Bass Pro, LL Bean and various slip-on and low tie up boots for years. Used for hunting, fishing, hiking, farming and working. The Bogs are by far, my favorite. I've worn them more while doing chores, shopping, hunting and pretty much anything I find myself doing... I don't take them off between events... unless, of course, I'm coming in the house and I might track in mud. The "Red Head in Charge" has been pretty firm about that. We have mud all over our farm. Lots of mud and loose turf. These boots grab and keep me stable in all conditions. Snow and ice included. They offer a snug fit and don't slide off without a little coaxing. I like that. No lost energy while walking in difficult elements. I do use a shoe horn to put them on. Just makes things simple. I'm in my 70's and can get them off without a struggle. I was a little surprised there weren't higher ratings on these Bogs. Like I mentioned, I've worn these for nearly three years. I'm now seeing the sides separating and won't offer me the water tight seal I've experienced until now. I'm not disappointed as I've put many miles and many hours on these. Hopefully my next pair will serve me as well.

Was very happy with them until recently... then they started splitting open where the foot bends.
I THOUGH I'd finally found a pair of all-day-comfort, chemical resistant (says so right on the sole), non-slip waterproof rubber boots for my full-time job as a brewer. The cheap glues or thin rubber heels had worn out in previous boots I'd tried, but the heels and soles on these had held up nicely. The tread was good on my wet floors. My feet stayed nice and dry. UNTIL...Less than three months in, and they've already split open at the point where the foot bends on both boots -- I guess just from rubber fatigue? The rubber does seem thinnest there. Please check out the photos. Try to ignore the glue on them. It's from a pair of rubber patches I bought trying to get one more day of use out of these, and protect my feet, before buying something new. Coincidentally, those patches didn't work very well either. Too much flexing and bending in that spot, I guess.)My job is hard on boots... I realize this. I've been looking for something durable for a very long time. So I was stoked to finally find some that *seemed* up to the challenge. But there's no reason they shouldn't have lasted a year, or hopefully even much longer. These wore out after three months (delivered on April 28, 2020 and the cracks developed on July 25th). So I can't recommend them to anyone who's looking to use them as anything more than "once in a while" rain boots. With regular use, this pair just didn't hold up.I'm curious to see what -- if anything -- Bogs may want to do about this. Will follow up if they do. Good customer support goes a LONG way with me.

Quality Boot
This pull on style is something that I have been wearing for about 6 years now, formerly a pair of Cabela's brand, which I decided to replace with something new when I resoled those for the last time. Right out of the box these had the appearance and feel of a well constructed boot. The fit was a little tight around the front of the foot but I wear a size 13, and as anyone who has a size 12 or above knows good fit is kind of hit or miss, so this was actually better than expected (I ordered the size 13). Since it was time to run the dogs, I thought this a good opportunity to test and immediately went on a 3.5 mile hike through the desert over unimproved trails with quite a bit of steep vertical. These are not intended as hiking boots, obviously, but they did very well. Support was excellent through the footbed, and the fit adjusted as I walked to a comfortable support rather than a too tight. Finished up with no hotspots on the feet - I would say this means a minimal break-in is required. This was a good test for the breathability, as well, and these are definitely breathable, though somewhat less so than my Cabela's were. However, my feet/socks were not wet after this hike, so good enough. These will be worn as daily work boots for light property maintenance and similar activity. Overall, my initial impression is very good, and I will update this with durability after a good wear period. Considering that these feel more durable than and fit as good as my former Cabela's but at half the price, I am pretty happy with them so far. Note that the dark brown on these is very, very dark, and looks black under anything but direct sunlight. If anyone from Bogs reads this, I would love to see these available in lighter brown or tan...

Was hesitant to order
Was really having buyers remorse before I even received them, after reading multiple reviews about the fit and how tight or loose they were had me doubting my purchase. But i was very happy when i received them and they fit like I expected. I wear a 8.5 and ordered a 9 which fits perfect, not to small or to big at all.Seen multiple reviews of about how hard or tight they were to put on, the trick is to start your foot at a right angle or towards the side of the boot and then turn it straight . i could see how some people complain they are too tight to put on, but if you put them on as i indicated you should not have a problem. there is plenty of room in them once you have them on. As far as comfort, they the most comfortable slip on boots i have ever had, as long as they stay waterproof and don't rip apart they are a 5 star rating all day long. i also have worn them on extremely warm days and they are definitely bearable to work in in 80+ degree weather.
