I had a stackable plastic system prior, and had nothing but problems. The stackable plastic bins are total junk unless you enjoy playing in mud.My Worm Inn was simple to set up (I bought the PVC and glue to complete the stand for about $10. ) and in less than 30 minutes, I was ready to go.Our family eats a lot of produce, and this system (Unlike my old plastic stackable), allows my worms to live in damp, but not swampy conditions. The Worm Inn is advertised as a breathable system, and it's incredible how breathable it really is. I love watching my worms being active and eating like crazy.I would recommend The Worm Inn to anyone that is serious about wanting to compost all their produce scraps.
