He recommended a metatarsal pad. I've used a variety of styles since then as I've been retraining for my bike race this year. These have the silicone squishy-ness not just a pad that seems to make the difference for me. Instead of feeling like a cripple because I couldn't race or do any elevation climbing - I had a GREAT ride this year and my fee never bothered me. These were wonderful and just what I needed to keep on riding. I will buy several and always have them on hand from now on!I would highly recommend .Also- these don't stick to the sole of your shoe, they loop around your second toe. I was worried about an residual rubbing there, but over 100 miles of riding and lots of foot grinding as I was climbing- the toe loop didn't bother me once! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These pads are WONDERFUL! *by A***S on February 25, 2019* I can only express ultimate satisfaction for these forefoot pads. My foot agony is all but gone. I recently returned from a vacation trip where I needed to do a great deal of walking. Most of that time was spent in agony due to pain and discomfort in the balls of my feet. I only found these marvels after I returned. If only I had them 3 weeks ago! They are easy to use and so simple but the design is perfect and the effect is most wonderful.
