As a geologist and avid hiker I spend a lot of time outdoors and this coat always serves as my first choice. With the lining and outer waterproof coat its easily good in snow or below freezing weather, especially with some thermals and a shirt or sweater. Fits a bit big because its just a big coat in general, but thats good when you have layers on and its very cold or windy.
