It didn't look or feel like silk - I carefully took a few fabric strands for a heat test. It failed - real silk smells like burning hair, never melts.Should not be advertised as "100% Grade A Pure Nautral Silk". I can't tell what the exact blend is - perhaps a nylon/cotton or nylon/silk? It's NOT 100% silk!But - it's nice and roomy, for long hair or curlers. The double side is great - satin should be worn shiny side down. Love the adjustable strap.
