**Q: went to use this today...when I used the angle fitting air came out of the other fitting
...could this be faulty?**
A: Yes. I use it all the time on trailer valve stems with and without a gate valve cap, on my tractor. It never released any air once seated on the valve

**Q: Does the fitting that comes out at an angle the opposite direction back towards the gauge also read pressure - or is it just to let air out?**
A: It’s another port to put onto the schrader valve to check the air pressure. Some tires have the valve facing away so you have to hook it on to read pressure.

A: Looks like black anidizind
