Since I've used tingles for so long all other lotions seemed to not work well (meaning I didn't feel the tingle). But with this lotion you feel it, it smells great, and it gets you tan faster. I highly highly highly recommend it. **Q: Does it work outdoors?** A: Yes your tanning lotion can be used inside or outside to help achieve your goal. I recommend that you use an SPF with the lotion so that you do not burn or use a tingle lotion since it is heat activated. Remember lotions will help increase your tan. They do nothing to prevent burning. **Q: what is the smell like?** A: Hard to explain same smell after you get out of tanning bed kind of flowery smelling before u get in **Q: Does this lotion come in individual packets ?** A: Hi Gail. Yes there are packets. The ones listed on amazon are the new spicy that came out this year they are white, we have them activated. Not this one. Spending $60-$80 on tanning lotions was getting to be expensive since I am a frequent tanner. The quality of this lotion vs the price is astounding. Some say you can't use indoor tanning lotions to tan outdoors, but I beg to differ. I used this to lay in the sun and the tan I got was amazing! It does tingle, but it's not overly tingling to the point that you want to wash it off immediately. It goes on very smooth, not streaky and my tans come out even. The scent of it is just amazing and a little goes a long way. I have really sensitive skin and break out from most tanning lotions, but not this one. The lotion is a nice and thick cream. Moisturizes well. Due to the high amount of bronzers in it, you’ll want to rub it in thoroughly and evenly to reduce your risk of getting streaks and wash your hands well after application. My husband and I didn’t feel any tingle affect and we’re down to half a bottle at this point in time, but it does give you a nice bronzing color. It doesn’t smell too good after tanning. It smells like many other tanning lotions after tanning, stinky, but prior to tanning it smells great. It’s definitely a great bronzer but not so great on the tingle scale. Both my husband and I are experienced tanners and we get extremely dark with certain lotions. We’ve used many different ones. This one isn’t the top dog, but it’s definitely not bad.
