The old digital thermometers didn’t always have this function and you used to have to buy 2 thermometers- one for Celsius and one for FahrenheitThis new technology is so good and really accurate. The temperature reading comes up within seconds which makes is very easy to take the temperature of a sick child. I tested the read outs with an old digital thermometer and an old mercury thermometer and the read outs were identical so this thermometer is really accurate.I also love the fact that you get different colours to indicate normal, raised or dangerously high temperatures.The batteries are included and it comes in a lovely soft drawstring pouch which makes it easy to store. It is especially a good price considering it can be used both for ear reading and head reading. Very, very easy to use. To be noted that for the head reading it does need to be in contact with the skin (not like the infrared). Not an issue at all for me.A couple of points after reading some other comments:-Yes, it comes from China, I don't see the problem here; as someone pointed out iPhones and many other quality things are from China too.-Yes, they offer an £8 voucher yet nothing in my review is false. I normally don't write reviews as I can't be bothered. Now that we are forced to stay at home, I have some more free time and I'm happy to help. If the product was not worth it, I wouldn't have spent these few minutes writing about it. £8 may be of help but won't change anybody's life. I wouldn't lie for it. I don't have any negative remarks about it so I can't picture why it should be any less than 5 stars. Well, it doesn't make me coffee in the morning but that is another story.-For the one who reported having incorrect readings, the item they received may as well be faulty. You should ask for replacement/your money back. I had changed digital thermometers in the past that were good in the beginning and then stopped working properly after years.
