The top has two ridges that look classy along with the iconic white dot, and two sets of two ridges near the middle, above and below the Schaeffer name. I hate boring clips; this one is excellent with the space in the middle, similar to a Waterman. It looks good in your shirt pocket. This is a pen with some heft. If you like a pen on the heavy side, this is for you. I have essential tremor and a heavier pen seems to work better for me. It is not as slim as most pens. It writes well, but I plan to try a Monteverde refill, which I also use in my Parker IM pen; not the same one, but they make separate refills for both pens. That'll be my next desertcart order.
