They took a little getting used to, but after a few minutes I was filing away and they worked great. I'm thrilled that they won't wear down like regular nail files. However, when I asked my husband and daughter to give them a try they squirmed like someone was dragging their nails down a chalkboard and when they were done wiggling around and squealing both of them put down the file and walked away, lol. If you have similar sensitivities these files may not be a good fit for you, but I love them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful files *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 26, 2016* Amazing files, I have noticed that the "grit" is different on each one, the smallest has the finest, you can shape your nails with the middle and I guess the biggest one is for toenails, but I haven't used that one yet, I got this set mainly for the 2 smaller ones. I got the black set and they are beautiful and to me, elegant looking for a file anyway.
