The palm of the Heavy Utility XT features a base layer of synthetic leather with non-slip reinforcement in all of the critical wear areas throughout the palm and fingertips. There is an non-slip SuperSaddle that extends over the index, thumb and across the palm which is designed to withstand heavy abuse in this high traction area. The top of hand features a breathable stretch nylon that wicks away heat and moisture to keep you cooler. You'll notice the knuckles and fingertips are also protected on the top of hand. One key item that sets this glove apart from many other designs is the extended safety cuff. The 3-Inch safety cuff is designed to provide extra wrist protection. This comes in handy for anyone who hauls loads of bricks, stones, logs or any number of things. It is also ideal for CATV, Utility and workers who climb poles. The non-slip helps to block splinters and slivers from entering the hand or wrist areas. The Heavy Utility XT is available in sizes Small – XX-Large and is Machine Washable. If not do you have suggestions of another glove** A: Thank you for your interest in Youngstown Glove. This glove model does perform very well in clearing out shrubs and bushes. The non-slip reinforcement on the palm is also fairly puncture resistant. If you must deal with many thorns you might consider our model # 12-3275-60-L. This is glove also has a large cuff but it is made of a double layering of leather and then lined with Kevlar. This combination is our most puncture resistant. However, it is not as breathable as the 04-3500-70 nor is it washable. It is more protective. So, if thorns are a major concern you might consider spending the extra money for the leather + Kevlar combination. Thank you again and good luck! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Decent *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2014* These gloves are nice and comfortable and let my hands breathe for the most part. The kevlar palms are pretty tough, but the problem comes in with the stitching that holds those kevlar sections to the glove. They need a stronger thread or maybe just MORE thread. I have a fairly high friction job, and the threads have been breaking and the kevlar panels are slowly pealing up. Still a quality glove, just hoped for more life out of them than a month or so. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Needed the longer cuff *by D***7 on Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2013* To seamlessly protect my wrist and lower arm by tucking my jacket into the extended cuff. Worked perfectly.I wear gloves a lot of work, tried a lot of different brands and styles, Youngstown is the best so far. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2015* Very comfortable and easy to work in. No break in either. They didn't hold up as well as leather gloves though. The thumb started coming apart at the stitching. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/10674643-youngstown-glove-04-3500-70-xxl-heavy-utility-xt-gloves](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/10674643-youngstown-glove-04-3500-70-xxl-heavy-utility-xt-gloves) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
