Place one before the blade, done. **Q: Do the lexan L-shaped hold downs make scrapes or gouges in softer woods like cedar and redwood?** A: I have not worked with a lot of soft woods like cedar or redwood. Of the hard woods I work with, cherry is probably the softest and I have never noticed any marks left by the grip-tites. You can adjust the amount of pressure they are putting on the wood by how hard you push them down on the wood when you are setting them. They don't need a lot of pressure to hold the wood in place and prevent kick-back. If the cedar or redwood is being used for outdoor projects I don't think any marking would be noticeable. **Q: Are the flexible fingers, Lexan hold down, and roller included? (Not in pic or description)** A: Only the item you see in the picture is included. However, please note that in the description, the item is described as a GT2000, which my item is. If you look closely, you will see that the item in the picture is a GT Pro. I have notified Amazon about this, and the picture will need to be changed to a picture of a GT2000. I've been woodworking for decades and have always used a slow and steady feed rate to pass the wood through the cutting blade. To take your hands off the wood and then pull it through a few seconds later will only cause burns and inconsistent cuts.
