How to use the brush: 1. Follow the direction of bristles when in use: Swipe it against the grain (rough) on items. If you brush with the grain (smooth) or move the brush in a back-and-forth motion, it will not pick up as much hair, fur or lint as it should. 2. Once the brush is covered with mess dip the brush into the self-cleaning base and pull it out to remove any buildup from the brush. Immediately the brush is ready for use. 3. The fur or lint are collected into the collection tray at the bottom of the base. Simply open the tray and dispose of the content when the base is full. How to open the base: Please follow the instructions indicated in the last picture; First, release the buckle of the base on one side. Next, release the buckle on the other side of the base, then successfully open the cleaning base. I have three cats that all sleep on my bed 24/7 and I clean the bed daily with a similar fabric "magic" brush. It was time to get a new one when the handle snapped in half. While looking for a replacement, I ran across this item and was both interested and very skeptical about the effectiveness of the lint removing brush holder, but I thought I would give it a try. Here is my out of the box experience and impression:1) SIZE--It is much larger than I was expecting! The large unit with the brush in the holder is 13" high x 1.75" front to back at the base x 2.875" wide at the base. Just the brush is 12" long x 2-1/8" wide at the brush end. The fabric surface is 6.75" long x 2-1/8" wide)2) THE BRUSH HOLDER--I couldn't get the brush out of the cleaning holder/stand. However, after removing the cap/foot from the bottom of the holder, I could see that the brush was not in its track and was wedged in tight. I had to separate the front and back of the holder at the sides a bit to allow enough space to free the brush and reinsert it correctly. However, pulling out and inserting the brush still required a lot of effort. After putting the brush in and pulling it out several times, it became somewhat easier.3) THE BRUSH--The handle on this brush is very sturdy. I don't expect this handle will ever break in any way, ever. It is much longer than the brushes that I have been using for years, so it covers more area with each swipe. In addition, the fabric on the brush is much thicker and sturdier than all others that I have previously used and gets all the hair in only one or two swipes. So covering a larger area with far fewer swipes gets the job done in significantly less time. 4) THE BRUSH CLEANING FEATURE--It actually works! I did not see one cat hair on the brush after putting it in the holder and pulling it out. The same fabric that is on the brush is on the inside of both the front and back of the brush holder. So when you put the dirty brush in and pull it out, the interior fabric grabs the hair off of the brush, so it does have to exert some resistance in order to clean the hair off the brush. The hair falls to the bottom of the holder, where the bottom cap has to be removed to empty out the hair. I'm looking forward to no longer having to remove the hair by rubbing a brush with my thumb so often that it almost blisters and the the time that this too will save. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard to remove from case/cleaner....but that seems to be part of the design. *by R***M on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 15, 2020* 3 important things to know about this product.1) it works as well as a disposable tape roller when used properly (can only swipe in one direction based on the structure of the bristles) and is definitely worth the price, in my opinion, to have a reusable device for pet hair removal.2) the product is difficult to remove from the case/cleaner but that friction causing it difficult to remove seems to be what cleans the device so that it can be reusable. Note: I had to insert and remove the product from the case/cleaner multiple times to actually get it sufficiently clean enough to reuse.3) the case/cleaner is difficult to empty because the bottom of the case/cleaner where the hair collects is not easy to remove. I still think the ability to reuse this product is worth the minor hassles, but I can see why it would not be a good fit for everyone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's ok *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 6, 2021* Ok so I keep the small one in my car and sometimes it works REALLY WELL and other times I feel like I'm going to brush all my clothes away because I'm brushing so dang hard. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/106946232-macyhs-pet-hair-remover-brush-fur-and-lint-removal-brush](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/106946232-macyhs-pet-hair-remover-brush-fur-and-lint-removal-brush) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
