    Hard to find ingredients, complicated recipes

Many ingredients not available outside large cities. About half the recipes are good but every single one in the baking section I've tried (I've done many) is inedible. Literally. I would not buy this cook book again. As other reviews have said, recipes are lots of work, hard to follow and ingredients hard to find. For the amount of work this takes, it just isn't realistic. I can't spend this many hours grocery shopping, prepping and then cooking, not to mention the cost.

There are recipes in this book for chicken, steak, shrimp, and turkey, and beef. Seriously? How is that in any way a Daniel Plan?! This book needs a different title so it isn't misleading. Kristen Feola's The Ultimate Daniel Plan is a much better book, if anyone is looking for real and good Daniel Plan recipes.

    The philosophy, Good - The author, not so much

I'm not necessarily a fan of Rick Warren but I got this book for my wife, since she requested it.  While I find the philosophy behind the book good, the recipes in the book are very much hit or miss.  You can do better if you simply take time read the ingredient list before buying your groceries.  If it's a preservative, chemical, or something that isn't natural, don't put it into your body.  It's that simple. :-)
