Review: Awful disc - Was so pleased with the transfer and vibrant colors. Everything is fine until you get past the nightclub performance. This is where the issues begin and don't end. When Jeffrey is caught in the closet that's where the freezing and jumps start to occur. I ejected and made sure there was no scratches of any sort. Didn't find any and replayed the disc and the same problems occurred over and over again. For a favorite film from David Lynch, I must say that this disc is a big letdown. I'll just stick with the excellent bluray disc until I later decide to repurchase this title. By the way, a reviewer mentioned about the authoring of the disc being that of Trainspotting, he was correct it did display the title before I pressed play button! Criterion, get it together or you will lose your loyal customers!!! Review: One of the best movies ever. - Finally, an item I don’t have to return due to damage. I already have the Criterion blu ray version, but seeing as this is one of my all time favourite movies, I had to get this 4k version. The packaging is decent and the inner art is good. This comes with a beautiful booklet of around 29 pages, which is well worth it. There are over 50 minutes of deleted scenes. The movie itself is superb, suspenseful at times and extremely violent and disturbing, but it is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Dennis Hopper is absolutely terrifying. Looks good, but just slightly better than a regular Blu Ray. I was really hoping it would pop more, but I guess old film has it limitations. Overall I would recommend.
