**Q: Do these fit schedule 40 pipe?**
A: Yes. All FORMUFIT products fit Schedule 40 PVC Pipe.

**Q: Can a solid length of pipe slide through the straight part of this fitting? Can you slide multiple 4wtees on a solid length of pipe?**
A: This fitting is designed with detents, or stops, at about 1/2" deep inside of the fitting to connect 1/2" Size PVC pipe segments together.  A 1/2" Size PVC pipe will not pass all the way through. So you would not be able to pass a pipe directly through, uncut.

**Q: what is the exact size diameter inside in iches?**
A: The exact inside diameter of the sockets on these fittings is 0.840"(decimal), or 13/16" (fractional).

**Q: so for 3/4" pvc shedule 40 pipes, I need 1/2" pvc tee fittings?**
A: PVC pipe is actually measured by the pipe inner diameter or 'bore'.  Actual 3/4" Size PVC pipe has an outer diameter of 1.050".  If your PVC pipe measures 13/16" or so in outer diameter, you most likely have 1/2" PVC pipe.  Its best to check the markings on the outside of the pipe, which will give you the size.  If it says 0.75" SCH 40 or 3/4" SCH 40, then you need 3/4" fittings.  If its says 1/2" SCH 40 or .50" SCH 40, then you need 1/2" Size fittings and so on.  Hope this helps.

I am trying to build a drop box to catch some kittens in my yard. I wanted to make the frame out of something sturdy but not too heavy and turned to PVC pipe. I was unable to find all the fittings I needed at my local hardware store so turned to Amazon. I found the exact fittings, 1/2 inch cross, 5-way and 4-way tees. The fittings came as advertised and in excellent condition. I received them in a very reasonable period of time and they are sturdy and the size I ordered. There's not much to say other than I would recommend these fittings and wouldn't hesitate to buy more of these in the future.
