Often when purchasing items similar to this you end up thinking there is no way that this can do what it says. In this case it was better than I expected. Simple online video to shows you step by step how to construct the device. Everything fit, only tools needed are a phillips screw driver and a pair of scissors, everything else was in the kit. The build itself took a couple hours. The included software was easy to install and operate. And simply it works.

Fairly easy to assemble for an experienced modeler or roboteer. Good video and diagrams help. Software easier to use than some laser software but only lets you do one thing. For example can't engrave and cut in the same go. Accurate cuts. Worked first time. One problem: one of the 635-Z bearings jammed in the groove. Seems to work OK without it (on the bottom of the laser carriage), but loses one star for that.Will cut mount board (cardboard for mounting pictures) at speed 135. Will engrave well at speed 3000Main tip: make sure moves easily by hand before powering up.Second tip: always use the NC mode. Faster, more controllable and better than picture mode, even for pictures.Image shows tree label engraved onto 6mm steamed beech from Kitronik. (Cut out and hole drilled by hand)

Now we have it up and running, its great. Unfortunately, it takes a good few hours to set up, so be prepared. If you do anything small wrong, it wont work, so you must follow every single detail. Installation Video is very good and precise, so you need to watch it carefully.

TLDR Laser burnt out within a week so I had to return it.This was bitter sweet as the time I spent using the laser was brilliant !! Construction took a couple of hours and was pretty straight forward. If you can build a flat pack you can build this. The software that came with this had no uninstall option and hid itself on my pc so I had to wipe the pc just in case it was dodgy. There are tons of free software options available with lightburn probably being the best that you can get online. The rest of the machine was solid and well made. Great stepper motors, Straight gantry, and good quality belts. If only the laser wouldn't have burnt out this would have been a 5 star product for sure. Nice large working area too. Shame.

brilliant machine all parts were well packaged, each screw size was separately, the machine was packed very carefully with care for the safety of the device. Pendrive with instructions also, simple and clear step-by-step assembly instructions just a great machine at a reasonable price

Easy to use once software was installed and the results have been great so far. If they did this machine on a larger scale with a more powerful laser I would be interested.Well worth the money for hobbyists looking to work with something simple and effective

Fantastic piece of kit.But very hard to assemble as no instructions are given. There is a video link , but that meant watching video in another location and pausing then assembling, then watching etc. Sometimes the video was not showing the same parts that I had in front of me.When using machine there is loads of trial and error when placing work on the bed
