I got a 2x because I want a loose fit (as in loose everywhere) as I plan to pair this with tight tops, 1x if I had wanted a tight fit to pair with loose tops. Normal problems with pear shape is you find an item that fits you on your hips but there's a chasm at your waist. The waist is mid area and honestly since I want a loose fit, it is loose but the belt allows me to cinch it up. Fits my hips just the right amount without it being tight like in the picture. So 3 sizes up if you want a loose fit, 2 size up for a normal/tight fit if you are pear shaped.The material is thin but since I got black my panties aren't showing and this will be good for summer. I may buy other colors. Lots of pockets that actually work and can put stuff in. Since I got a loose fit, I can actually use the pockets which was the reason I bought these.If you are tall this will work for you as a capri, if you are short, the length goes way past your knees. ### ⭐ Really disappointed because they were adorable *by S***N on February 25, 2016* Even after reading the note about these being cut smaller and sizing up the 2-3 sizes per the recommendation, these were way too small. Really disappointed because they were adorable, but not even close to standard US sizes even sizing up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ male body, love these *by J***S on August 5, 2016* Ok, so, I am male, so there's my full disclosure thing. On to the important stuff: I really love these pants. I'm 5'11, 185, 34 waist, athletic... I ordered these in XL based on the size chart, and they are a bit looser than I wanted. But again, male hips so I could / should (and shall) go with an L next time. They do stretch, and in this size they are super nice and comfortable for gardening and doing stuff around the house. The only size/ shape thing is that this particular item is quite high waisted on me, so I wear a longer top to conceal that part. I thought the belt was a bit long, but again, male body, so it would probably be much better for actual females. I should iron the bottom of the cuff because as it came, it shows the seam; maybe iron it gently to make the cuff conceal the seam a bit better? Still, even if it shows, it's not that big a thing for me. Anyway, for me these are great, and they look really nice with white 5 inch heels (I know,: what doesn't look really nice with white 5 inch heels??... but I digress...) Next time, the beige, in a lower-rise version. Otherwise (wait for iiiit...) Fabulous!
