**Q: Has anyone tried growing these?**
A: Not in Texas to hot and dry in the summer. We consider them good luck charms to carry.

**Q: Will they mold?**
A: They are dried but overdried buckeyes collapse or turn black. A bit of moisture left inside is ideal to keep them shiny and brown, for this reason buckeyes shouldn’t be stored in complete darkness.  Stored in a single layer and exposed to light buckeyes last a long time.  Slight mold is still possible with dry nuts, especially if stored in the dark. It is easily wiped away with a dry cloth and should not return.

**Q: Do these have the holes already drilled in them in order to make necklaces?**
A: The buckeye nuts in this listing do not have holes drilled in them. There are other buckeye nut listings on Amazon that have pre-drilled holes for making necklaces and the like.

**Q: Can I use these to make laundry soap?**
A: I wouldn't advise doing that as buckeyes are potentially poisonous.
