After doing a little research, I found a local dentist that fitted me for an oral appliance. My sleep improved over night, but this mouthpiece cost over $2000 and required a special tool to adjust. After a year of use, it was time to replace the oral appliance. Before paying another $2000, I wanted to try something a little less expensive and purchased a similar device as the Tranquility Pro. It worked great, but after 7 months, it was time to replace it. While looking on Amazon, I found this mouthpiece and have been using it for 2 weeks. Not sure if it will work for everyone, but I have been extremely happy with this purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value for the money *by A***R on February 25, 2019* I'm a 68 year old softball player. I've worn teeth guards for years and decided to try these because they came in a 4 pack and at a very reasonable price. I was a bit surprised when the directions said I had to use a thermometer to check the water to make sure it wasn't too hot as that would cause the teeth guard to melt & stick together. 1st effort - had to redip guard 4x before I was able to get a good seal. I trimmed the length on both sides equally and it fit very well and and stayed secure during use. 2nd effort - Created a 2nd guard after I misplaced the 1st. Not so lucky this time.Thought I had the temperature perfect, placed it in my mouth and bit down crookedly. Guard stuck together permanently & got tossed. Will work on 3rd effort this week. These guards are thinner than all my previous ones so I believe that's why the water temp needs to be lower during prep. Thicker guards are more error forgiving but way more expensive. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ NO MORE SNOTING! NEW LIFE FLY!! *by A***R on February 25, 2019* I am pleased with this product. I ordered it because my custom mouth piece began to delaminate after 7 years. Not a bad service life; however, it cost $1000 from my dentist. I moved out of state, and could find no dentist to make me a new one. Seems that they relate this to sleep apnea, and don't want to touch it. The FMK is not as comfortable as the custom one, but you get used to it after a night or two. According to my wife, it works just fine to eliminate my chain-saw snoring! Read the directions and follow them, and you will end up with a semi-custom fitted mouthpiece. As one other reviewer stated, it is important to bite down as hard as you can when you are forming the shape.
