It's very stable, and very easy to fold and unfold. Thought it was going to be damaged by looks of the box. Turned out no damage after unpacking. I used Old English furniture oil to condition and take varnish smell away. It is larger than I anticipated. Will definitely hold a laptop and more. Seems a little unstable, so I think I am going to have to be careful with it. Color stain is good as pictured for mohogany. Have not tried unfolding yet, was very easy to put up. Not sure if it was worth the price, but it does seem to be thin enough to store well alongside a couch or chair. I think it should work.
