It is, however, very well made and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. **Q: How big are the holes?** A: The holes vary in size. The smallest (which is in the circle at the bottom) is about 1/4” wide. They open up as you get to the top. The holes on the last row (at top) are about 1/2” wide. **Q: What is th depth of the basket for the 5" and 7"?** A: We bought the 5" and I would say it slopes down to about 2" depth in the middle.. I would add that ours was surprisingly well made...very happy with it. **Q: The description says 3in deep for the five inch. Is that correct? I'm looking for a deep spider strainer.
