From the Manufacturer This dispenser door flap mounts in the ice dispenser. Review: That Damn Damper Door - I have paid for a professional to come in and repair our twenty-two year old GE Profile refrigerator. It was unpleasant. This time, I realized the issue was a damper door flap that had, for some reason, become misshapen. I can't explain why it was deformed, but it was not sealing properly and allowing a large amount of frost to build up inside the freezer. This time, it was off the "You Tube University" to learn how to replace the Ice Dispenser Damper Door myself. Tools gathered, project begun, and damper door replaced. It was at the limit of my DIY skills, but was not really difficult. I bought a spare to replace it again in the future, should I need to do it. Just prepare and research before beginning the project (or any DIY project). Review: Perfect fit - Fit our 2004 Hotpoint/GE side-by-side. Get that firm "Pop" back when the ice maker stops dispensing! After 20 years we started having problems with the water line freezing up. Turns out it was attributed to the defrost heating element failing. While I was at it I installed about 5 fresh parts in the water and ice dispensing unit as well as a heating pad to prevent the water tube from freezing. I can't believe our 22 year old refer is good as new. It still makes tons of ice and maintains temperature perfectly. ## Features - This is a genuine GE Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part - GE OEM WR17X11653 is compatible with various GE (General Electric) refrigerator models - GE WR17X11653 is an Ice Dispenser Damper Door in GE Refrigerators - This high quality GE OEM replacement part is sold on its own, please reuse existing crank on GE refrigerator appliance with this replacement door - Follow the instructions in the owner's manual when installing this part ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00A8O05M6 | | Best Sellers Rank | #133,723 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #266 in Refrigerator Replacement Ice Makers #1,845 in Planters | | Brand | GE | | Brand Name | GE | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 915 Reviews | | Form Factor | Damper Door | | Included Components | Single GE WR17X11653 Ice Dispenser Damper Door | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 6.5"D x 0.5"W x 3.5"H | | Item Part Number | WR17X11653 | | Item Weight | 9.07 g | | Manufacturer | GE Retail Parts | | Manufacturer Part Number | WR17X11653 | | Model Name | Ice Dispenser Damper Door for Refrigerator | | Model Number | WR17X11653 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Dimensions | 6.5"D x 0.5"W x 3.5"H | | UPC | 639277530707 757457745335 617297491086 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** GE - **Model Name:** WR17X11653 - **Manufacturer:** GE Retail Parts - **UPC:** 639277530707 757457745335 617297491086 ## Images ![GE WR17X11653 Genuine OEM Ice Dispenser Damper Door for GE Refrigerator - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/716GFCO-jkL.jpg) ![GE WR17X11653 Genuine OEM Ice Dispenser Damper Door for GE Refrigerator - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71O08zH8jJL.jpg) ![GE WR17X11653 Genuine OEM Ice Dispenser Damper Door for GE Refrigerator - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61c-RYZYWwL.jpg) ![GE WR17X11653 Genuine OEM Ice Dispenser Damper Door for GE Refrigerator - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21sv15SQikL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ That Damn Damper Door *by S***T on April 19, 2026* I have paid for a professional to come in and repair our twenty-two year old GE Profile refrigerator.
