First one lasted 3 years until it got bent in a hydro scaffolding. Second one lasted about the same but had a big chunk out of the level bubble makeover it hard to see the bubble. I have bought MANY levels in my lifetime, these are the best. I even have the 16 inch one. Have it over 5 years. Let me add that we masons are very hard on tools. Half our crew owns them. 25 percent won't buy them because they are NOT made in the USA, my only gripe. The others are just too cheap to pay for a good tool. A little masonry cleaner ( muriatic acid, sure clean, diluted) will make the level look almost new again. If your a homeowner, this level should last you a lifetime with common sense care.
